I'm hoping to head to Gulf Beach tomorrow morning off the jetty near the harbor. Planning on tossing some 9" or 7.5" Slug-gos. Don't think i'm going to head to the Housy considering weather is probably going to suck.

Heading out myself on Fathers day, first chance I can get unfortunately. But this morning a guy in my marina came back in having caught 12 stripers, all keepers and a couple over 30lbs. His livewell was full of bunker. Said he caught a few blues but the bass are outnumbering the blues big time.

I am just itching to finally get out!

Going to go down the housatonic tonight and do some more fishing. Might just hang around the mouth of the river since my family will be with me but we'll see how calm the waters are.

I started traveling down the river until I saw all the bait fish hitting the surface at the railroad bridge. Anchored up out there and three in some chunk bait and got nothing but clean hooks back each time I reeled in. Caught one eel. Two other boats came up and anchored next to me but I don't think they caught anything. Another small boat came up and was setting some sort of barrier net for something but it was almost midnight so I couldn't see what he was doing.

Yesterday I went down to the mouth and used mackerel, bunker, and squid and caught fluke, bluefish, and almost a dozen monster robins.

Hit Birdseye dock for a little last night and caught a small schoolie and was getting bites but couldnt stand the freakin oyster bed there! Left there and hit Gulf beach until 2:30 in the morn and got 2 nice runs but nothing there when I grabbed the reel. Caught a bunch of Sea Robins there. No bunker in either spots. Really want to get out farther but my car isnt doing good and I really shouldn't even be going that far!!!!
