Before I make the 1 hour trip to CTR, I was wondering if a trolling motor is good enough to launch and land at the same site or if i am gonna have to make a float trip out of it. I dont wanna drive that far to be disappointed so i appreciate any inputs. Thanks fellas (and ladies) |

Unless your going to get into the coves, wouldn't recommend just a trolling motor. The current can def push you hard at times. With a 40lb thrust (think that's what you said you had) you will be battling against the current going nowhere. _________________ Steve |

The Connecticut River at Haddam Meadows normally flows fairly gently. But if it's running high, the tide is going out or there's a decent north wind, it could become too much for a 12 volt trolling motor to handle. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
