I have to say I find this conversation quite hilarious. I mean to say senkos are immature to use or that they are for inexpirienced fishermen...thats funny, it really is. I watch flw, BASS tournaments, and major league fishing all of the time and it may surprise those of you who are too good for senkos, but they throw senkos quite often. Yes they are easy to use when you wacky rig them, but they are an expremely versitile bait that can be thrown in numerous ways. I have watched many fishermen win tournaments flipping senkos around docks because it works. A true fishermen will use what works and let that dictate what they use. So hate on someone for using what works seems foolish to me. Perhaps it is just because I am young and naive that I would take such a view on this, but I truly don't think that is the case here. Let me just say that I do thoroughly enjoy flipping jigs too, but depending on how I am fishing a senko may come in to play aswell. In fact recently I have been throwing them just about each time I fish. I find that a fish will hit a senko just as often as my swim jig. I am not hating on anyone's fishing style I am just saying that if you say those who flip senkos don't know what they're doing then your completely wrong, that person, like I mentioned, could be a high level tournament fishermen with much more expirience than you. So perhaps you should start considering throwing some senkos if you stopped because they are too novice of a bait for you. I have to honestly admit I went through a short stage of throwing nothing, but jigs and I am still drawn to them because I like that style of fishing, but I have grown to realize that its more important to throw what works. _________________ You know it was a good day when your thumb is all scratched up. |

I have throw a senko for a few years but honestly don't hardly throw it ever now. A senko is SO simple you toss it and let it sit there so don't tell me its harder to throw than a jig. You want big fish a jig will catch one more times than a senko would plan and simple. | none of its hard you mothball, go try and figure out how to catch stripers in august, that's hard...fishing a damn jig is not hard |

Who cares about this freaking argument. You dont know my skill level I don't know yours. I don't care about stripers I am not an ocean fisherman by any means. Never claimed to be anyone can be good at any type of fishing with the right equipment knowledge and practice. Once again you don't contribute to this site at all why are you even on here? _________________ Never Stop Learning |

At Flippi! I did catch that one on a bed three weeks ago. The picture does the red spot no justice. Almost every fish we caught that day looked like that. I swear they were still spawning at that time. We had a good day that week on Candy in the Danbury Bay area. I think the weather this year got the fish's metabolism all messed up. Saw shadows on beds in Echo Bay on Sunday but couldn't tell if they were Bass, Carp or Trout. The Carp were in Orgy Mode everywhere. You would have thought Sasquatch was throwing boulders at ya.
Nah! No mothball. Whacky Rigged Senko. Sorry about that! I might just try a Mothballs for haha's! I've seen stranger stuff than that work.
"BUT" I'm headed to Bantam/Candy tomorrow! I'm gonna flip jigs and see how I do. If we hit Candy I'm going up the Sherman Arm. _________________ Don't hold your farts in! They travel up your spine to your brain and thats where shitty ideas come from. |

Sherman arm is good,, but so is everywhere else Dont forget the secret of crushing up mothballs and letting your bait dwindle in them for a day or so,,LOL,,But, If you flip,,8 to 12 ft.. ,,The secret is the rhinestone thong, make sure you wiggle alot and let the sun and the rhinestones twinkle,, |
