Went out again tonight and 1st, 2nd, and 3 rd casts were on then a 5 minute break before I caught another. Then it started raining and I guess the fish didnt want to get wet as that shut them off and never got another bite for 2.5 hours so packed it up. No keepers tonight out of those 4. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Obviously the fish wanted montauk cookies and you 4 jokers brought mini tolberone bars!
I was across the way lastnight (white headlamp going on every 10 minutes to land a fish).
I was fishing with montauk cookies and killin em. I could smell your mini tolberone bars from across the way. I yelled over "montauk cookies" but i dont think you guys heard me over the sound of the rushing water.
I should issue you multiple tickets for your antics, but I will let this one slide. |

They seem to jump from side to side. 1 night to keep on them I jumped with them back and forth but I won't go over to the other side if people are over there. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

CD or somebody,
I'd like to get into the stripers before things slow down. I'd like to check out my new 8 foot surf rod too.
If somebody were to pick me up and take me to the Housy with them a few times, I'd be happy to treat them to a coffee and night time snack every time we go. |

Michael,
I'd be glad to. No guarantees, though. Heading out this evening. PM me if you want to go.

Fished this evening with Michael. To make a long story short (you can read his report) he outfished me easily. He was throwing Rapala swimmers and I was throwing an SP Minnow, loaded Redfin and bottledarter. I managed one bass around 27" and lost a couple. He got several, including a nice keeper size bass.
After dropping him off, I still felt like fishing, so I headed back out. Picked up another schoolie, and on what I said to be my last cast, this 21 lb, 38 1/2" fish. It sort of took the edge off of being outfished.

Nice, that's the biggest I've send being caught in awhile. I've come pretty close and I'm sure they are being caught but not reported. I ended up getting a nice fat 32" er last night right before the fish shut off where I was fishing but I was only there for like 1 1/2 hours. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Awesome catch Josh!
While I was getting all the action and caught the 30 1/2 incher, I was hoping you would eventually get a nice keeper.
WTG!
BTW- Is that the Red Fin I see in the mouth? |

Slow tonight vs Monday.
I got 8 hits, lost 4, and landed 3. Josh had about 5 hits, landed 1, and lost a nice fish in front of him.
Fish ranged from the upper teens to lower 20s in length.
Seemed like the colder drier air with the NW winds was what slowed things down. Monday there was much more moisture in the air with hardly and wind. |
