Product Fundraiser Tournament
Ok guys, I am compelled to share my compiled efforts and my ultimate goal with you - I have developed a product that I want on the shelves in stores next year! What is it?! It's the Strikemate Sensor System! A slim-line designed sensor that attaches to almost any tip-up which will send a signal to a hand-held device that "beeps" to let you know a flag is up!
This link will further explain the product and the intended application:
http://www.strikemate.com/StrikeMate_Product.pps
I have spent the last year making EVERY attempt to locate investors for this product, but I cannot afford the expense to have this prototyped. I was thinking of having a fundraising tournament to raise funds to cover the cost of prototyping this new innovative product and wanted to get some input!
I would call this tournament: StrikeMate IceFest
I'm not sure on the specs yet, but I figure if I can host a huge tournament (maybe on Candlewood) and get in touch with some product sponsors to supply product for prizes that it is VERY possible I could have my new product prototyped!
I'm going ALL OUT on this as I have nothing to lose and all to gain! So, help me out here and give me your thoughts! I really want to put something together soon! |

I dont know much about inventing and stuff but your product sounds like its never been made before so id trademark it or whatever you do so someone WITH lots of money wont steal the idea and make money off it. One last thing, maybe you should go on sharktank or something hahaha. _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |

haha!....let me tell you my fellow ice walker.....
I have submitted this idea to sharktank multiple times without response (because it's not patented) - I have submitted this for consideration to the company who produced the "Snuggie", but it wasn't their type of product they wanted to invest in - *sigh*
Over the past year, I have composed so many letters to angel investors, various websites, etc. that I am just running into walls because I can't produce the funding to prototype it - once that happens, I can splatter this over the internet without "hiding" it so much.
I will tell you this though - this product will dominate the industry as I introduce technology to the sport of ice fishing and eliminate "babysitting" tip-ups forever!....lol |

Darn, it sounds like a great idea! I always am looking around at each tip up every few minutes or so to see if ones up. This would be especially good for us shanty users that dont have large viewing windows. _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |

Yes...I have found that one and another type - neither of them compare to what I have produced...I created a product comparison as well |

I wish I could - I am putting this tourney together to raise funds to produce a "working prototype" or I would love to demonstrate it - the only thing I have to show people right now is the PowerPoint presentation file I put together. |

I welcome your opinion but can only respect it if you were educated enough to actually READ what I had posted....
I clearly stated that I am coordinating this event to produce funds FOR the prototype so I CAN introduce it to investors.
Now, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I've heard enough of them to know that I now only hear my voice - and my voice says I am going to do it regardless of public opinion.
Again, I do thank you and hope you understand my intention |

I'll be honest i am al for this event and this product
First off i use polar style tip ups because in my opinion they are better. With that being said when i ice fish deep snow i can barely see them. So the alarm would be very helpful.. I am a proud supporter of the strikemate alarm system. |
