Alright i need your input on this.
Good idea or bad idea?
Should it have prizes or just a bunch of guys having a good time food provided?
If i host it my dad and i will need some help.
So lets here it.
I plan on having it early january ( if ice permits)
Places to have it on will be open for suggestions but im thinking Beseck lake,Black pond (Meriden), Tyler lake,Winchester lake, Highland lake, or Bantam lake.

I'd give it a go. Happy to bring food, but no experience! I'm sure people would throw a few $$ in a pool for S&G. Since I've never ice fished, not going to throw out a location (though Beseck and Black Pond are in my neighborhood). The northeast part of the state my provide better ice.

I'm in for it if any of my ice fishing buddies can get me there. Tyler is usually one of the first lakes to have safe ice. Highland would be another recommendation, esp with the big trout in there.

Laughing Laughing Well obviously Beseck would work for us to, Black pond's right around the corner. Keep us updated, but still don't want ice yet, no offense I can live without it Smile

Hi,

Setting a date right now is a crap shoot !

What's "IMPORTANT" is ice thickness Exclamation

It's a "WAIT and SEE" game Exclamation
Need a good stretch of cold Wx of a week or more.

We'll need "BETTER" then 4" of ice for such an outing because ice does not form uniformly on any body of water.

"SAFETY" ..... is the very 1st thing to be considered !

If we can make it center or preferably western CT that would be great.

If we do that i'll show all of you how to be pro ice anglers.

Other wise I will just embarrase you with all of the great fish I catch.

=)
