If you do candlewood im sure A LOT of people will come. Even ones not in the group may stop by just to see whats up. Beseck and black are pretty far from me but i may just have to go cause they always sound like alot of fun. A fun little thing to add in is a contest of biggest fish on tip up and biggest fish on rod and reel. Maybe have a prize too!

Candlewood lake sucks for ice on a off year.
You will have solid ponds / lakes around the area and cwood was iffy

Though if we get a good year of ice then cwood would be good a lot of guys like fishing there.

Would be fun to have an outing like the last meet at Winchester. I've never ice fished, and really have no clue, but I'm bringing baits too big for anything little to eat! If I'm going to ice fish, it's not going to be for any piss-ant litte perch. Go big or go home! I want to catch a pike through the ice. I don't mind driving up to the NW, or anywhere the ice is THICK. My big ass isn't venturing out onto 2" ice. Drove back from northern Mass today, and all the ponds were covered over. Won't be too long! Smile

Beseck sounds good. With the temps next week we should be looking good for the following weekend.

I agree I only go for pike for ice fishing mainly. If your going to freeze your ass off might as well go for the big guys. We usually have a tent and fire going if its real cold out there.

I went there last year for my first time fishing it ever ice or no ice. I have since fished it a few times in open water. Now that I know about the lake I might actually do alright ice fishing there.
