For the most oart thats the typical size right now unless your on a boat or get pretty mucky, there are some decent keepers here and there but pretty spotty from shore.

Man, I have a similar problem, finder. I think i need stuff at the time, or i see a rod on sale and think "oh, i could use an extra one"

Now i have a 12ft chunk rod with no reel (my "spare") 2 11ft tsunami surf rods equipped with bait runners and 40lb braid, a 10ft carp rod, 2 9 ft carp rods with bait runners and 20lb braid, a 9ft salmon rod with 12lb test, a 9ft 5wt fly rod, 2 8ft heavy action tsunami rods, 2 7ft bass setups with 8lb mono, one extra 7ft bass setup, 2 6 1/2ft fluke/jiggin rods, 2 6 1/2 ft trollin rods, 3 light or ultralight trout setups... oh yea a 9ft junk-o for bunker purposes, and some other assorted rods without reels i've accumulated over the years...

don't get me started on tackle... no i don't have a problem!!!

Bwaaaa haaaaa haaaaaa, If you have a boat at least you can justify most of it. I drive around with most of this in my car because I never know when Im gonna switch gears. If this fishing sucks I just switch up. I usually have a spare jacket in my car but took that out the other day and freakin needed it today when the wind really picked up! I get home and its dead calm here which is only a 25 minute ride!!! SOAB My car is a freakin tackle store! All I need is a plug in freezer/fridge to keep my bait in and Id be all set!! LOL

finder, are we related???

i custom built a rack for my pickup truck...

my jon boat sits above the bed... 8 rods above that... room for the coolers and everything else to slide under the boat... a net holder on other side of the rack...

usually too much crap in the passenger seat of my 2 seater s-10 for anyone to come along without me movin some stuff...

we'll have to get together to compare rides sometime. haha

Well yesterday I went out for about 3 hours without a fish. I did see someone catch two small stripers off sandworms, one of which they kept Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad .

Teeth marks would mean bluefish, unless it was a sand shark.

I was originally thinking the same thing, but I've never heard of blackfish hitting chunks
