few and far between a chunk bait will pull out a tog. and when it does, its usually a tog with a double digit weight.
there was a time where i never believed it either, til i read it in a report in the fisherman mag, and then witnessed a 13pounder caught using that method.

sheepshead are caught up here occasionally. they have square teeth.
may have been a fluke they like to bite things and then leave. |

I was watching Bill Dance's saltwater show and they were fishing for sheepshead in Florida. They put up a hell of a fight, I hear there really good eatin too _________________ Bad fish! Not like going down to the pond and chasing bluegills and tommycod. This shark, swallow ya whole. Little shakin', little tenderizin', down you go. |

someone once said, if porgies could grow to over 30lbs, there's be a lot less striper fishermen.
well sheepshead can grow over ten. thats pretty damn good _________________ ...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.
