Not to thread drift but as a competitive paintball player for the past seven years and a big advocate for safety and participation at insured fields, people that play paintball and airsoft in random areas are frequently trespassing also. Like careless anglers, they leave their garbage everywhere and make legitimate participants in their respective sports look terrible. |

Really??? You're all...so...wholesome. I see blue on my GPS and suddenly I'm casting. Just be respectful of all property and don't let anyone see you. Be quiet, release your fish unharmed, clean up after yourself, eliminate all witnesses, etc. And geez people...use the cover of darkness to your advantage! Illegal night bass are often the most satisfying to catch. Yes, it's terribly wrong & I'm a horrible person with questionable morals, but (in my mind) it would be even more tragic to never find out what lurks in Pond X.
Also...if you're not fishing golf courses at night, you're really missing out.
Seadog1, I disagree with your "birds of a feather" argument. Just because someone is willing to risk a trespassing charge for a shot at very large bass doesn't mean they're lacking integrity, unsportsmanlike, criminals, or whatever. It could just mean they have a hard time rejecting a potentially productive fishing opportunity.

I am truly disappointed with you advocating to do something such as trespassing private property to illegally fish private waters because the temptation is there!
It's not a matter of wholesomeness
Wrong is Wrong .... Right is Right ....and the Law is the Law 
YES! Integrity, Character, Honesty, being a Good Sportsman/woman, having a Good Name /Reputation means everything !
Again -> I'm truly disappointed and shocked that you would condone (or anyone) doing such an act, because YES! -> That act makes you a POACHER whether you release the fish or not and even leave the area neat and clean!
Also YES! ...If you do engage in such an illegale act.....You will be joining the other birds of a feather that advocate and condone in such illegale acts.
Is this what our sport is coming to 
Cheaters that try to pass off record breaking fish without proper/legal license!
Trespassers on to private property!
Fishing private water without permission!
Taking fish in excess of the legal daily limit or size!
Total disregard for good Sportsmanship!
Disrespectfull illegale acts reflects very very badly on a sport we all enjoy so much.
Respecting property owners rights and asking for permission, we can only hope, will open up waters that have been closed to us sport fishermen!
I have always had "high respect for you" as a Person and Sportswoman....."THAT" in my mind, is now in serious question

I'm not advocating or condoning it, I'm just admitting I do it. FWIW, I've been caught trespassing multiple times. It's my choice to take the risk. If golf courses don't want me fishing their ponds then maybe they shouldn't put such chunky bass in them.
