I fished Milford harbor a couple of times in the morning last week. Only got a very small striper on a superfluke, and a shad on a small sassy shad.

Tonight around 8 schoolies were jumping in a marina, but I didn't catch any. There's still bait around. I got 2 or 3 hits, but no hookups. I forgot my Gulp smelts at home, and I know I would've caught with those.

There's still a lot of bait around. Most of it's small bait like spearing. I was talking to a guy who said he stopped fishing for Stripers in my area around Christmas. I thought he was crazy just to go after some tiny stragglers in late December, but now, looking at the amount of bait and Stripers around, I could see how this continues deep into December. Is it usually like this, this time of year, CD?
