Seasoned fisherman but very new ct and i am trying to learn how to fish candle wood lake. Very interested in what types of tackle work well. Interesting man made lake but different depths and drop offs I am used to so a bit confused on whatnto throw out there. Any help would be appreciated. |

Sorry, I've never fished it so I was waiting for someone else to respond. It's a bit large for me in my little kayak |

At Gerards marina. And can travel any where that's productive. |

Get a map of the lake, thats step 1. If you're fishing for bass, the standard bass fare works: senko's, spinners, mepps, top water etc.
Fish islands, drop offs etc. pay attention to depth changes and weed lines, Candlewood is known for its deep weed line which is ideal for SMB. |

I've been on Candlewood only once. There's a natural rock wall just to the south of Gerard's Marina that held smallies when I was there. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
