Nice job! My first 20-30 stripers were small... Schoolies on the river and off the surf... And I was using bait! I have only caught a couple of keepers from land. Usually at the beginning of summer end of spring... Most the big ones I've got were from a boat. Keep at it

I fished the same area from about 730 to 930 as that, and got 4 small schoolies, one on my first cast. All of them were caught off a gulp smelt on a jig head.

Nice job kid.
Did you see an old guy show up shortly after 9pm on the other side?
He got a few fish as well.

Well i hit the Housy tonight at the Derby dam and wasnt getting anything on chunk or plug and wen i threw my arm out casting that was enough for me there so moved down under the derby bridge and caught a 9.85 lb catfish. They must have opened the Stevenson dam again because the river was very very high and I was running out of room to fish as I was fishing!

Nice fish, Crest Daddy!

I had some striped bass sushi last night. That's a really delicious fish.

My last two outing haven't been very good. I went on monday and saw three tiny bass caught- two off the beach near me and one in a channel. Heard someone got a big bass there a couple mornings ago, off the beach using an eel. I went out yesterday, and nada.
