My kayak is still in storage at my parents cottage, but there is a decent pond locally I might try out on Saturday with the warm weather. We will see. |

Husky jerk, or countdown minnow, and/or drop shot. I'll probably try both if the bite is slow. |

I plan to go out this weekend too.... Not to sure maybe Konolds than derby or vise versa.... for bass i like the HJ Raps. they work great for early season... so do slow retrieve spinner baits. |

I don't really use spinnerbaits either. Though I do plan on using them a bit more this year. |

lipless crankbaits...mmmm bass love em this time of year! get yourself some different sizes (1/4 1/2 even 3/4) and colors (red, chrome gold and black) get them down into the grass and work the bait nice and slow...with a steady retrieve its my favorite way to catch ice out fish _________________

Cranks are always good, my favorite are the small strike king 'lil mister money' that lure catches anything year round. It seems black and gold is probably the best choice for almost anything too bad I havent really found any soft plastics that make the combination well |
