Went to Highland with my girlfriend today,, as we put the boat in the water, there was another boat putting in also they walked by my boat and giggled at my stout flipping sticks,,sort of pissed me off,,later in the day as the sun got high and those punks were throwing there senkos around shoreline,, we just happened to be near my favorite section of weeds in 8ft of water,,needless to say,, after I held up 3,,5lb plus fish in there face they were stunned,,so guys dont ever laugh at a flipper,,

Hero or zero is the flipping creed! You know it my man. Keep the boat and bait moving and cover water. And hold on.

What do you like to call the senko throwers? I like senko sinkers or senko sam. I laugh because I haven't thrown a senko in a year or two now.

I use a little 14 foot boat to go to the lakes. These guys with the 30 thousand dollar bass boats smirk at me especially when I'm trying to launch in the middle of their tournament starting. My father once ran into Bill Dance up at Candlewood and he got the same looks. He always came home with a pile of big fish as I do from learning from him how to do it. I've seen lots of these guys catch nothing. It's not always the equipment as much as the know how. They can look fancy and you can catch all the fish.

We have grown up thats why we don't throw senkos Laughing In all seriousness you can catch a lot of bass with a senko but you also catch a lot of crap fish too.

I have caught more big fish with my little 10foot tin boat than I have with my big bass boat. Its funny how that works out.

Its always those people with the dirty small aluminum boats that do the best. Fish dont like the fresh new boat smell Laughing

Most people forget where they came from as Im sure most started out with that 10' tin boat with the exception of those born with a silver spoon in their mouth and there is no fixing them!

You guys are correct the boat and gear do not make the angler. Fish do not care what you are on or throwing. The boats get bigger do to the water you are fishing. Out side of ct most lakes do not have speed
Limits. Most tournaments that have real value ie.. The fed. Tbf neba. Only fish
Larger bodies of water were a larger boat is more comfortable and safer. If you only fish small bodies of water. You do not need more boat. But if you fish 2-3 hundred acre ponds day in and day out then go to the Hudson river or Champlain and fish the same way you will
Be in for a
Long humbling day. PS.angler is only as good as his/her competition.

I don't need a contest to enjoy fishing. Even when I fish a tourney or pool, it's more about the challenge of catching fish than winning for me. I guess that some people have more to prove than I.

What the hell brought this on ?? This sight cracks me up,,There is no level of competition on this sight,,as for being as good of your level of competition,,nfw you are right, thats usually why guys from small clubs advance up and get their hinnies handed to them,, most of these guys arent into the level that some of us have fished,,CTFISHERMAN has more of that level,,as for boats,,it really doesnt matter,, the fish dont know and dont care, especially on our dinky waters,,Now for that comment you made PHIL,,You post everything you do and fish, and thats great, , Experience and knowledge has ALOT to do when fishing,,most people dont know what to do,,when their senko isnt working,,Heck they dont even change up when a cold front comes through,,Most people dont realize how to fish a hump,,Crap,,they dont even know how to fish weeds,,They get confused when its windy and hide from the wind,,So why the comment,,Had nothing to do with you,,Then you say you wanna be just like me,,, No reason for that comment,, I will stop at that. And for that senko,,Dan,,it makes a fisherman out of anybody,,just throw it out,,eventually a fish will come by and eat it,, no technique,,great for casual fisherman, but not really for the tourny guys,, more jigs, spinnerbaits, crank baits, and of course,,WEEDS, flippin and froggin,, usually to get a winning bag or for this sight a quality fish,,And Wanna Fish,,Are we suppose to be impressed by a prison guard,,what the heck,, I have a few friends that are the same,,Really not impressed,, Did you know my buddy Fran, L..?

There is always the right tool for the job. I watched a 5 and 4 lb bass caught last night while i pitched a jig all night. I got two tiny fish and the worm got the best. Knowing the conditions and selecting the correct bait to get the job done makes the best fisherman. Your way works for you, but getting but hurt about a novice making a comment is sad. Please understand that people fish for fun, and getting all judgemental is not fun.
