So today I was fishing at Twin Brooks Park at the pond area. I was using a Keitech swing impact 4" and Berkley Gulp maggots. First two fish were decent sized Blue Gill which were caught on Gulp maggots. Then after an hour i switched to a Keitech swing impact 4" in white with a 3/0 Gamakatsu worm hook. I casted out a few times and hooked into a fish I thought it was a largemouth bass but when it got it out the water to my surprise it was a Pike, it was my first pike ever. Then a while after I caught another pike, then a small largemouth bass. I cant post pics yet but the image is included to those who want to see

That's a pickerel man. Either way great job! A lot of people get them confused because they are very similar looking, but Pickerel are generally green and pike are brown. Best way to tell the difference. Otherwise, welcome to the site and keep posting reports!

Welcome to the site!

I fish Twin Brooks very often during the middle of the year. Biggest pickerel I ever caught there was 3 pounds. Have hit a number of 2 to 4 pound largemouths too.

I always wondered if Does Twin Brooks have any parking restrictions or residency restrictions?
Does anyone have info on this.
I am going to try and look it up on the town website

This was Unity Park... I was with Jovanni's and told him the wrong name. Yes you do need a parking permit. On that note I have not had an issue with them but they will give you a 25 dollar ticket if they see you without the park pass. .. that's from there website.

Wow that came from Unity? I fish there all the time.
And yes Twin Brooks has parking restrictions. I learned from nice officer 2 years ago. Park in the back lot near rear entrance.

An out of town resident told me that he was able to get a free parking permit by showing his fishing license. Said he had to fight Town Hall for it.
