Enfield Dam was a tried and true Hot Spot - I haven't fished there in years though |

You realize that it's a seasonal thing, right? They are usually in the river only in the Spring & Fall when the water is cooler! (usually between 50-70 degrees). _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

Is this area navigable in a small boat 12-14 footer or am I risking a lower unit? _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

Should be fine, i go there with my buddy in a 17 ft flat bottom Sundance Skiff but see many people with non flat bottom boats fish there fine. We launch from the boat launch right on the Windsor/Windsor locks line on 159. Right after Albert's Riverside Restaurant. We go up to the 140 bridge and drift back down to the island. Actually I'm about to go there in about an hour and hopefully snag a few stripers. |
