Open water....
Ive been doing great. A 4 10 the first tip of the year on a crankbait. A 3 10 the next day in shallow wood (ice on half the pond both days). Kept working on a new deep water method and hit a few 4lbers on my favorite new method. To be speciffic- a 4 even, a 4 14, and a 4 7
Numerous pickerel on a variety of methods and some serious numbers days (only been out 5 times including yesterday which was not as productive)
Tightlines guys! Water has been 38-40.5degrees. Lotta open water this weekend- gonna try and tangle with a few smallies.
Get out there guys! |

What lake/res/pond did you catch them from?
I know some people don't like giving out hot spots so if this is the case what city/town did you catch them in. |

One of the lakes is Amos(Crop better next time Nick!!!!) The other lakes are Nicks honey holes and are not easy to access so I don't think you will ever get a location on those, but don't be offended every fisherman has secrets they keep. Nick is just protecting his honey holes, but I have seen him at a few in that canoe!!!!!!
If you are looking for open water you have to go to Southeastern CT. Those lakes open up early or never really freeze. |

Yea, should be quite open all over by the weekend- all my lakes refroze besides one. Running water venues are the best option this time of year. They open up earlier and fish really well 9 times out of 10 in the spring.
Drive through bristol this weekend or maybe next and you'll see my green canoe out on a few ponds. Then you'll see a few PIGS.
When you taking the g3 outta storage chuck? P.s. Know of any boats for sale that mite tickle my fancy? ($5kish?) |

Nice fish as always Nick. PM me if you want to fish again, your boat or mine. I really enjoyed our 3 lake trip - fun times. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

I have no problem giving out info to people I trust dusty, I dont know this guy and he randomnly came out and asked me on another baord- not asking me to take him out and put him on fish or anything- just wanted to know my spot.
Thats shady to me. |
