I was there twice with min. luck.. Try the right side along the railroad tracks, I heard it can be pretty good fishing.

Try down by the swimming beach where all the hot girls hang out... You might be able to gain a new fishing buddy! Wink

If you're talking about the one in Meriden,..a white or chartreuse soft jerkbait is a go-to bait there! Also senkos and jigs are often good there as well! Try in and around any lily pads especially on the far-shallow end of the lake, all around the island, and the shore by the railroad tracks!

Agree with what Mark said. That is my home lake and the weeds do get out of control but there are big bass in there that LOVE those conditions. Just gotta fish alot of weedless type baits and put up with the weed problem. Caught numerous 5-7 lbers out of there when the conditions were right. The weed problem does tend to make most fisherman shy away from that place due to the headache of fishing there which is good for me because the big ones are waiting for me! Very Happy

Nothing like going to silver lake in Meriden and catching 18 shorts in an hour. But there are some pigs in there. Now is the time of year to go.
