Headed out on the kayak today for the first time in many months - nice to be out there, but fishing was tough. Only caught 1 on a spinnerbait on the west side (along the weedline) in about 4 feet of water - water temp was hovering around 54-55 degrees. Another few weeks and the action should pick up!

Wow! The water’s a lot warmer there than I’ve seen anywhere else.

I have a fish finder "watch" which indicated the temperature of the water - not sure on the accuracy of it, but I'm sure it's close

I was on Mansfield Hollow Lake, yesterday, from 10:15 am to 2:45 pm. The two fish finders on Bass Tracker’s (aka Greg’s) boat never seemed to agree (one’s a Lowrance and one’s a Humminbird, so what would you expect?), but we saw surface water temperatures from 47 to 52 degrees, with one outlier of 54 degrees in the shallows near the big old dead tree in the northwest corner of the lake.

nice fish. I fished here last fall with no luck. tried everything.
