I'm new to Brookfield and wanted to inquire about local lakes/ponds that are stocked for trout (besides Candlewood). I don't have a boat and considered a "shore fisherman" - any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Squantz Pond is your best bet for trout. They stock it regularly.
Ball Pond is another, although I only fished there once, and they seem to have plenty of bass and bullheads, trout is harder to catch.
I used to live in the area, and I think these lakes are overfished, if you ask me.
Saugatuck Reservoir has walleyes and lake trout, but you need to get a special permit (as far as I know) to fish there. I hear people catching fish there quite often. |
