What are the rules or regulations if you would to bring a snowmobile on Candlewood lake? Or any lake in ct? |

I would make sure you know the lake well. I saw a salvage crew at the lake last year trying to get a snowmobile that broke through the ice. |

does it have matter if its not registered in ct for example can it be registered in New York or Vermont? |

I believe that the regs are the same for snowmobiles as for ATVs. If the state has reciprocity, then you are good! I believe that NY, VT, and PA are the only states that have reciprocal policies. With that said, I'd still check the DMV website. |

Per the CT DMV ( http://www.ct.gov/dmv/cwp/view.asp?a=810&q=412854 ):

Currently only Vermont grants similar privileges. Also, if the owner is a Connecticut resident the snowmobile must be registered in Connecticut for use in Connecticut. |
