Well folks, it looks like winter has arrived. Daytime temps will continue to stay in the 30s with a few days getting into the lower 40s. Overnight lows with be in the 20s mostly with a few being in the 30s.

I don't think this is the same thing we saw for 2 weeks in November. I think this is winter saying hi and the mild wet weather saying bye.

Just finished researching on Google the January outlook and jet stream pattern.

Short term is there will only be a brief period of mild wet weather in the middle of January. January will be a Greenland Block month for us.

Long term is as we get into February, there's a chance for a big snow event that will lead to a big change in the jet stream, bringing mild wet weather in March similar to that rain and snow event we had a few years ago that led to flooding and very high water levels.
