We took the long haul from east haven to mudge yesterday. Ice was very shakey in the middle and the north end looked completely open. Between 5" and 2" below the slush. Caught a 2 lb bass and a couple small pickeral on the sticks. About a half dozen jumbo yellows on the jigging rods.
The action stunk, but we were limited to where we could go due to the ice conditions. Flip side, we had a great lunch, the kids had a blast and we were fishing again. Life is good.
Merry Christmas All. |
