Hit Mondo Pond starting around 4pm with my 5'6" ML setup. Decided to stop at Walmart to look around at soft plastics and weedless hooks and got a 12 pack of Berkley Gulp 3" Minnows and a 5 pack of Eagle Claw 1/0 red hooks for Texas rigging.
Hit most of the spots at both ponds and stuck with the Berkley having it Texas rigged. The retrieve was a twitch every second and a half causing the lure to glide just under the surface.
Bluegills were the ones attacking the Berkley like crazy! Landed 2 bullgills.
Caught 5 chain pickerel up to 16" 1 pound 4 ounces. Each pickerel hit it hard by shooting up for it fast!
Bass total was 2 with the biggest being 16" cookie cutter.
Hit the road just after 8pm |

stopped there last night on my way home around 10pm. Creepy in there by yourself at night, No fish but heard a few fish popping bugs or something off the top...
