Arrived at 7 am and the parking lot was half full. Plenty of people on shore, about 4 yaks, 1 Hobbie fishing yak (nice guy), and 3 canoes including ours. Fished mostly soft baits. Caught 5 small LMBs; 3 on shad colored senkos and 2 on green. The biggest was just under 1 lb. No fish hitting the frogs, rattlebaits, swimbaits or cranks. We did see fish surfacing to snag dragonflies. Water was clear down to 5 or 6 feet. Not much action reported from the other fisherman on the water. Left at 11am. |

That guy on the Hobie was pretty nice! Nice meeting you guys! I ended up squeaking through the small channel that runs to another pond on the meriden side of the pond. I pulled a 1lber out of the pads on a frog and that was it....hopefully next time I can pull some more stuff out of there. |

Hope to see you on the water again soon JCA. Nice to meet you too. We tried to go through that channel but with the oars on the canoe it was tough going. Not sure where I'll dip the lines this Saturday. You should post pics of your Hobie. You have a nice setup! |
