Moved to West Haven recently about a block from one of the piers. Anybody fished these before or have any tips or suggestions?

I've fished all of them and they can become over crowded rather quickly. Typically pull stripers, blues, sea robins (bark bark) and the occasional "sand shark" from them. Personally find fishing from the sandbar across from the old Captains Galley (especially if you don't mind walking out to the point) to be much more enjoyable and rewarding. I've hooked up with weakfish from here as well.

I have fished there a number of times. It gets pretty crowded but there is bunch of pier there. People seem to be pretty nice and considerate there. It is usually chunkers. Snappers are thick there as well as sea robin. Once saw a striper swimming rite under the pier and came for my squid but didn't bother to take it. My favourite place is the light house.

On the other note where can i find free parking there and does it close by night . Any clue?
