Slept late into the afternoon Saturday and didn't feel too tired overnight so I stayed up and hit the morning incoming at Seaside on Sunday.

Started off at the honey hole while the tide was still coming in and stuck with the SSP-9. Landed a 15" 1 pond snarbor and had a number of other snarbors explode on the lure.

Didn't get much more so later on the turn of the tide I hit Breezy Point. Terns were doing a lot of diving on the southwestern and western edges of the point. I had 1 swirl while pencil popping with an XRW-11 and a fellow Seaside surfcaster had a huge explosion that he said had to be at least an 8 pound blue!

As the morning went on and got into the afternoon, I wasn't getting into anymore so hit the road around 1pm.

Monday was a different story. Low tide for Black Rock was scheduled for 3:08pm and arrived at Breezy Point around 11am. Saw the 3 surfcasters I always run into there including another one I know. They had already gotten into a few tailors on the southwestern and western end of Breezy Point before I got there.

I tried throwing the SSP-9, XRW-11, and FLR-10 but nada.

Headed over to Remington to see how low the tide had gotten as of 1pm. Tide was still too high to get onto the sandbar but was able to wade in the shallow flats. Tried throwing the SSP-9 and XRW-11 but nada.

Headed over to the honey hole and waded into the water as the tide was still going out. Once the tide had gotten low enough I was able to walk through the deeper hole and up onto the flats. Things started slow but once the tide was right near dead low I get an explosion on the SSP-9. Landed my biggest blue of the year so far which was a nice 7 to 8 pound cocktail tailor. 5 or so casts later and hook into the entertainer of the day. 5 pound tailor did a number of jumps and skips and wouldn't stop pulling and swimming all around as I tried to grab it while holding the leader. Before the bite shut down as tide was coming in I caught another 5 to 6 pound tailor.

Bite shut down and tide was getting too high to be out there so I headed over to the ramp. Didn't get into anything over there but saw the bunker had made a comeback. Didn't have a snagger or jighead with me. One of the surfcasters I saw at Breezy Point came and started snagging bunker. While I was still there he was getting a few hits on the bunker and it was coming up to the surface a lot. He said prob smaller stripers.

I headed over to Remington to see what the tide level was like. Was able to get onto the sandbar and cast into the current but nada.

Went to check out the honey hole now that tide had gotten much higher. Nothing was happening in the usual spot but when I switched sides facing the beach and threw a blueback herring LC-12 I started getting lots of hits right near the rocks. Landed a snarbor. Pretty soon it was insect time and I didn't put any Off on. Was still getting lots of those snarbors hitting but the bugs were biting me so I headed in.

Last stop was Breezy Point now that the tide was getting closer to peak high and it was right near sunset. Lots of 2 footers at Breezy Point so I threw the XRW-11 out there and played pencil popper with it. Had already taken the front hook off and left the rear teaser on, which resulted in 2 small schoolies on the teaser tail.

Hit the road just after 9pm
