Braved the 20-40mph constant wind on a cove that I thought would be out of the wind. Didnt get out there till about 12.
Found 5-6inches of ice for the first 20 feet out and it tapered out into 4inches
Stuck to the shore in 5-10 fow and only managed to put in 8 traps total- too damn cold and windy. Brought my little coleman stove up behind some cover on shore and proceeded to cook up some venison wrapped in bacon MMMMMMM
Flags were a poppin right off the bat. Ant looked over at one of his traps as it shuddered and the flag didnt pop. Wound up being a king sized slimedart with a no flag.
50+yards of line on the ice in 25degree weather with some serious wind
One of my flags went off and I was too damn cold, plus that venison and bacon was tasty, you can grab that one ant. Trap blew 20-30feet from the hole All for a tiny slimedart
Caught 2 dink bass in between and Anthony gets a screamer on one of his bigbait traps. Could it be the pike that we were after?
No.
A 3++lb bass Smile says it all
I finally hit a solid 2+ on a pike shiner as well.
Not a bad 2 hours on the ice at all Tight lines guys |

Nice fish gentlemen. For some reason, I just had a feeling of deja vu. |
