Slow morning on the Housy. Very few fish landed, none by me. I did catch a cormorant, though. Fortunately, he only swam into my line and got a bit tangled. He was not hooked and lived to see another day. I was surprised that he put up so little fight getting reeled in. He didn't even take out the drag.

I had a cormorant almost land on me last season. I was full of adrenaline from just catching my new PB, when I suddenly heard wings flapping CLOSE. It got about 2 feet from me before I moved and scared it off. Freaked me out!

I caught a Canadian goose this spring. Got it in a nice, busy public area. Spooled out a 100 yards of 832 braid. I wanted to shoot the damn thing and get my line back. It was flapping all over. Ended up just cutting it off as the commotion was so bad and there were kids around. Dragging it back across the pond would have been ugly. It wasn't a large hook. Should be able to pick it free. Hate the damn things.
