Member mikeyinstfd and I a nice pool on the Pequonnock Thursday afternoon for about 2 hours or so.
He started by playing topwater with a brook trout FLR-6 which caught him 1 bass, 8" bullgill, and 2 pickerel.
I played topwater wit a brown trout FLR-6 and lost a crappie in the same area.
While Mike was still in the same spot I moved and started hitting bass, bluegills, and pickerel.
Later I lost the FLR-6 and decided to start playing topwater with a Heddon Baby Torpedo. Mike started throwing a bluegill SSR-5 and played topwater with that. I made sure my retrieve with the Baby Torpedo was a noisy aggressive retrieve for those pickerel and a bigger bass.
Mike landed a nice bass just under 3 pounds while I was slamming the pickerel. My biggest pickerel was around 2 1/2 pounds.
Total was Mike with 2 bass, 1 bullgill, and 2 pickerel and me with 2 bass, 2 bluegills, and 5 pickerel.
