Arrived at the city boat ramp just after 4pm as the tide was still going out. Setup and lures were the same as last time. Conditions earlier in the day were sunny and nice temps, but when I got to the boat ramp clouds had moved in and there was a windchill.

2 surf casters I've been seeing were already there and the 2 buddies on their kayaks were casting out there. The surf casters weren't into anything and 1 of the kayakers told me the bite was pretty slow vs Monday and Tuesday.

3 lures I stuck with were shad SP-9, chartreuse ghost XRW-9, and brown bone DTFAT-1.

Action didn't start picking up til the tide turned around 5:20pm but was slow this time at the same tide levels vs Monday and Tuesday. One pro said it was prob because of the full moon even though the skies were perfect for stripers.

My total was 3 all with the SP-9. Only 1 was bigger than 20", which was a hard fighting 24"er on the 7'6" rod and 10 lb braid. I had very few swirls and only 2 other explosions with 2 being an aggressive swipe by a bigger fish.

3 others I've been seeing there came later in the evening and fished til sunset and also saw a newbie there. The newbie only landed 1 and got 1 other explosion on a small spook. The guy who's been throwing the 3" Atoms got 1 swirl and lost 1.
