Did research on Google to find if there were any reports recently of the state stocking TMA since the last time I was in Fairfield. I read a weekly report on a website posted last week on the 20th saying the state was going to stock some of the TMA's. Seeing that was posted 4 days ago, I decided to hit the TMA.
Got to the honeyhole just after 4pm to find that same brown as last time in the same spot feeding on the same insects.
Started casting the brown trout FLR-6 out there but never had any followers or saw any flashes. Never saw any signs of fresh stockies in the clear water while the sun was out.
Later a buddy arrived wanting to check out the TMA. Showed him the nice spots and then we hit the road. He was nice enough to give me a ride home with my bike in the vehicle. |

Somebody i saw today was trying to tell me it was stocked over there already. Like a few weeks ago. He seemed convinced.

Not sure what site you saw Michael. DEEP has listed stocking on Facebook. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

I agree with you CD. I have been hitting that honeyhole for a while now since February and haven't seen any fresh stockies. I've also taken a look at the deep stretch farther down but haven't seen a single holdover or stockie.
Knowing how well I've always done with fresh stockies while throwing the brown trout FLR-6, I would have been into them by now, like I was on March 18 last year. |
