I've caught a few walleye by accident at Saltonstall that were less than half that size. No way are you gonna lip it like that. Glove or no Glove. Every walleye I've ever seen, mounted or caught were brown and "BIG TEETH. I've had a few at various lakes cut my braid like a razor. Granted it's dark and the camera flash affects the quality of the color but that fish looks green to me.

As far as the fins and stripe go, there is no telling what many years of pollution has done in creating abnormalities in fish that stay year round. I'm surprised some don't glow.

I know there's Walleye down there. There's one mounted that was caught under the dam in the Bait store across from the Dew Drop Inn. But the teeth are confusing! But who knows! They just shut down the Walk Way area due to new pollutants being found. I grew up in the Valley. It was an industrial Manufacturing Center from the 40's to the 80's. Every factory along both rivers dumped toxic waste in there. Massachusetts is still dumping PCB's from their energy plants in there.

Like I told you wade, I caught a pickerel a few weeks ago that I was able to lip like a bass. NO TEETH.

Yeah, I think its just the camera lighting thats making it look like a walleye. The people at that bait dhop which by the way has moved to River Rd. in Shelton had a seminar on Walleyes just about 2 weeks ago and when I showed them the pic they both immediately said large mouth.I myself have never caught a Walleye but I have caught large mouth and know what 1 looks like up close and personal and thats wgat I seen. The damera angle doesnt do the huge mouths justice. Either way it was a nice f8sh, just not what I was expecting to catch. At least we got a few new guys to join the site from this post! LOL

100% sure that's a walleye. Not every fish is exactly as the book says they are could've been deformed with no teeth or a messed up jaw. Either way it's a nice fish.

I can see why some say its a walleye and why some you say its a bass, from the way the gills look it appears to be bass but the Dorset fins make it look like a walleye. I don't any amount of pollution can create new species of fish.

CD, My whole fist with my glove on was down its mouth to get the trebles out!!!!!!!! The pic you just showed me shows a brown fish, mine was pure green. Maybe its a walleye, I dont know but all I can say is that this fish was green, had a huge mouth that just doesnt show in that pic. and it had no teeth. Possible yes, but there are just too many things that lean towards bass to me. [/b]
