Do you have to be a member to fish that brook? If so how do you go about being a member there. I used to fish in Legion Pool behind Seymour Auto parts when I was a kid and under that bridge and do very well. About 2 years ago I went to take my son there and found out that area was off limits now.

You need to be a member of the Seymour land conservation trust.
it is a private club with reasonable dues.

Legion Pool started getting pretty strict many, many years ago along with requiring you to get a permit to fish there. Hell, they would even throw you out if you forgot to bend the barbs on your hooks.

I caught my biggest brookie under that bridge on a fake salmon egg, about the same size as that rainbow.

It's a great place to bring kids and such, especially with all the golden trout they have stocked.

I always thought it started and stopped at both ends of the bridges....the one upstream from the pool and the one below the falls. I would double check with the seymour land trust though.

Guys - Go to Seymour land trust web site to apply for a membership. The membership gets you permission to fish the pond. The bridge up stream was washed away in Storm Sandy, bt basically that is where the pond begins. Anything below the dam is open to the public.

The golden trout are all gone this year, and not re-stocked.
