Nice job! One question. Why such long leaders? 3 feet is the way I was taught. The leader is the weak point when hand lining. Other than that the video is great! _________________ Oh man... you got Onzo'd! |

I have 6ish ft long leader because if you fish shallow for trout which I was doing in the video they can be cautious like in rivers. Its 8lb so its stronger than what I would normally use. Also the spot im fishing doesnt contain much structure so its not too often youll get rubbed up on something and snap. Also after a good battle with a trout your line may be a bit chewed so I like to cut up above that and re tie and if you do that with the 3 ft leader it'll get smaller and smaller and then eventually you have to replace the whole line which waste line and time. Its more of a personal preference for me. But if I were bass or pike fishing it'd be heavier leader with shorter distance since the fish don't mind . The leader is your weak point of your line and with the heavier line the knots most likely to go first so its better to get the leader and fish up quick. Great question. _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |

Its a Lowrance Elite 4x Ice machine, got it for $289.99 plus shipping I believe. Definitely a lot easier than using my underwater camera.
And no damage inc I'm not getting your PM's. _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |
