Get my first flag of the 2014 season.
After being tortured out there through pouring rain, thin ice, heavy winds, negative temps, snow, and bluerbird skies finally Bantam lets up it's wrath on me. This is my first pike of 2014, and first flag of 2014, went the whole month of January without a single flag. Caught on a dead fallfish in 4ft of water. No tape but easily my new pb, and over 40 inches. Never seen a pike with head so big an 8inch hole almost wasn't enough. Never give up no matter how bad mother nature treats you. _________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o21/PickerelPete/IfeH-r.gif |

Awesome fish! What took so long to catch one though? Whenever we go to Bantam we catch at lease 5 through the ice between 3 of us. _________________ Oh man... you got Onzo'd! |

Wouldn't mind waiting for a flag with that on the other end. If I go out and someone has a set of those ice spikes around their neck, I usually call it a day. |

You do not catch much at bantam because it is over fished and the fish are mistreated when caught there. Weather this cold u should hit up farmington river by loomis or one of the coves of the main ct river. |
