| Anybody have any accurate info on why encon/deep/police was kicking people out of margerie and kenosia this pass weekend? there was about 7-9 people out there on ice and they came and told us we cant fish. Any info would be helpful |

| Some new thing stirring up over the ct boards for ice fishing. I don't know exactly what it's about but basically what I've been seeing is the town isn't allowing people to fish reservoirs. Not sure why but there seems to be a lot of mixed answers. |

| ive been getting info like they was draining water, or that city of danbury owns it now and they are not allowing to ice fish it only from shores. I dont know the real answer to it but i wasnt going to stick around and ask the cop on why we couldnt ice fish it |

Mayor said that the state is cracking down on use of the res . Kenosia is now a res , they stopped using it for swimming. As of now no ice fishing , $100 fine people are being warned with.
Fish at your own risk but am sure they will resort to tickets soon when they get sick of kicking guys off. The clerk at city hall said the permits are for shore fishing only.
I suggest you call or email the mayor. Voice your complaints |

Mayor on closing the lake to icefishing:
Department of Public Health is really cracking down on use of the reservoirs. Kenosia is a reservoir.

This is what mayor boughton has wrote to me
Fishing on shore of these bodies of water is no problem. The state of Ct. rules for drinking water do not allow for ice fishing. Sorry. Kayaking on Kenosia is acceptable at this time although that could change.
In other words we are fucked after all these years we've been fishing on.
They finally got off their fat asses and started to do something bout it |
