I just talked to one of my friends who went to a friends house along the mouth of the CT river today. He said he was almost crying at what he saw. Hundreds of dead stripers ranging from 12-30 inches floating out with the tide. Any idea how this happened. |

I wonder if they got boxed in by some ice and were overtaken by it.
It thawed a little today, maybe it freed some ice enough for them to float out.
Just a guess.... _________________ Herring? |

Did he report it to the DEEP? I can't imagine that it wouldn't investigate this. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

I don't think he did report it. I will let him know though. |
