Hit the striper spot for about 2 hours til 3:45pm Saturday. Setup was a 7' Medium Okuma Tarvos/PENN Pursuit 3000.

Seeing we have a storm system approaching us Sunday and today's conditions were mild temps, light southwest winds, and partly cloudy skies, I had a feeling I had a good chance at getting into some fish before the place refreezes.

Threw the traditional FLR-10 and a few other lures but never got a single hit or follower.

Seems like the recent frigid temps and snowy weather has shut the bite down and things won't start heating up again until late February and early March. Just gonna have to wait for somebody to get me up to Shelton and Derby before things start up again.

Once in a great while fish will stroll through but fir the most oarg withoug water coming over the dam pushing the spawning bait over there just doesnt seem to be much for stripers this year.

FF,
You have it all backwards Wade. You usually blab about "your" spots and respect the efforts of other regarding "their" spots.
I mean....thanks.... you are very generous because "your " spots produce fish but get out of your own way. Very Happy

Oh, and Merry Christmas Wade. Hope to catch up with you soon. Hopefully on the 31st. I will check with the other jokers too. Maybe we should go to the pet shop and we can through wire and liveline some goldfish. I have been experimenting with the technique and it looks promising. If that does not get us some fish I think some cheesy puffs, weighted, and attached to a strike indicator may pay off for us. Anyway, whatever we don't use to fish with can be utilized for a nice new years snack.

I would take you to one of "my" spots but I think my flag is pretty low down on the pole so I will have to wait for someone to quitclaim their deed.
Cheers
SD
