Local buddy and I hit the Housy in Derby for about an hour and a half Saturday night. Arrived at the O'Sullivans parking lot around 7:15pm. Setup was Star Rods 8' Aerial Surf/PENN Pursuit 5000/Sufix 17 lb Tritanium.
Both of us played with a few plugs while he also tried throwing soft plastics.
We fished 3 different areas which only resulted in me getting 1 hit on a pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-16.
Other fishermen were there but all reported it being very slow with 1 getting 1 hit and landing a mid 20s schoolie.
Recent rains had the river running good and it seemed like the rain and current might have pushed the fish down river. |

The bite is usually more active towards the dam when the current is running. _________________ Don't hold your farts in! They travel up your spine to your brain and thats where shitty ideas come from. |
