Payed the extra $$ to fish the DSR on the Salmon River, N Y & caught my 1st Steelhead . There were about a dozen people fishing ,river was @ 850. Didn't see the sun all day, breezy & cold....... I was using a Nuclear Egg fly fished deep .
Then after awhile, I could have sworn I was hung up on the bottom but it was a MONSTER of a Brown...he took a Pink Crystal meth egg pattern
After he was released , I caught another Brown slightly smaller than the previous one. |

Sweet fish! They look delicious. But you didn't keep them, did you. . . . _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Nice fish! I payed to fish the DSR for the first time last fall and we had a day for the ages. Every cast we were hitting kings. Although the price is pretty steep it was a blast to fish without the crowds.
Peco- You're not allowed to keep steelhead or browns in the Douglaston Salmon Run. Only kings or coho's. |
