My partners and my last Monday night outing of the season, and with the cold weather we've had, decided to slow fish for teeth. 7 fish came in between 4:15 and 6 when it got dark, but all were had on 6" slugos suspending over the weed beds on the edges. Spinners created no interest, and I was bit off by a fish with a sizable swirl at the end of the day. Only 1 pike, and 6 pickerel, but all of the pick were hearty fish. The biggest of the day gave me a bloody battle, but swam off fine. Deep hook set into the tongue. All in all, 23 Monday night trips this season and 488 "fish" landed. We don't count perch or rock bass, otherwise it would be a bit higher
Going to miss it for the next 5 months for sure! |

I love the fight pickerel give you for their size. Nice job. |

No question, and there were several larger than that this season, along with 5 bass over 5lbs. Great year! |
