Decided to try and catch Porgy with sandworms today as I haven't been having much luck pursuing Stripers and blues, ended up catching other fish I wasn't expecting. The first fish I caught was my first blackfish in the picture. I didn't bother measuring it because the season for them doesn't start until October, but I'd say it was maybe 14 inches or maybe a little bigger. I also caught small 2 black sea bass, maybe 8 inches each. After that, I caught three other blackfish, but these ones were really tiny, like the one in the second pic.

Yes, with sandworms.
And I was fishing in a place that I think had good amount of bottom structure.

After blackfish season opens I may target them from the same spot using crabs.
