Since Blackfish season starts tomorrow and I have some time off next week finally I figured I would give it a shot but I have no boat, is it still possible to catch them from shore? I usually fish a rocky shoreline that is infested with asian shore crabs so I figured id give that a shot. Any tips would help, Thanks. _________________ catch/picture/release |

Well it sounds to me like you got a potentially good spot for them. Now just the water temp is what to keep in mind.
I went out on the SnowGoose over in Port Chester NY for togs last Saturday and got skunked while the boat as a whole only got 2 or 3 keepers, the water temp was 70 degrees.
You might still catch them but maybe not as many, also try some sandworms.
