High tide for Black Rock Harbor was scheduled for 2:09pm Tuesday and got to the Fayerweather jetty around 11:45am. Winds were a steady 10mph north and northeast with gusts 15 to 20mph.
Within a half hour, I go to take a cast with a 3/8 ounce FLR-10 and the 7' Okuma Tarvos breaks in half 
Head back Downtown to take the bus home and switch to my other 7' medium heavy Daiwa Procyon.
Got down to Breezy Point around 1:45pm with calmer winds than earlier.
Lures I threw included blue sardine Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, flake blue sardine Max Rap MXR-11, tennessee olive shad Clackin Minnow CNM-9, purpledescent Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, silver blue Skitter Pop SP-9, purpledescent BX Minnow BXM-10, silver blue X-Rap Shad Shallow XRSH-8, and pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-10.
I didn't get a single hit on any of those lures.
Later as the tide was going out the snapper bite turned on. Switched over to a silver Husky Jerk HJ-6 which had snappers going. Caught about 10 with most being 6 inches. 3 were nicer 7 inchers and 1 was a 10" snapper/snarbor.
Snappers eventually disappeared so I took a break Downtown.
Got over to Remington around 4:30pm to find hardly anybody there.
Threw the SP-9. FLR-10, and SXR-10 out there with no luck. A usual surf caster was there with his soft plastics but no hits.
As sunset got closer, the bigger snappers got active. I got into them in no time with the HJ-6. Caught close to 20 with size ranging from 6" to 11". Most were in the 6 to 8 inch range with some being nicer snarbor size. Kept my limit of bigger snappers.
After sunset is when snappers left and a school of bunker started showing up. The surf caster and I tried throwing a number of lures out there with not even a soft plastic chopped in half. Another person snagged a bunker, livelined it, and let it swim back out there. He had no luck.

Not even a livelined bunker was grabbed??????That's pretty bad considering it's time for the blues and stripers to strap on their feeding bags.
Seems to be how it was for me last weekend.After i snagged what i wanted.....I let a few swim and nothing was under them....Yet,the striper i caught on a topwater and kept.....had a whole bunker in it's belly.
