Connecticut Outdoors, LLC Annual Clearance and Paddlers’ Swap & Sale

You are invited: To our yearly clearance event starting Saturday, October 5th at 9AM and our second Paddler’s Swap and Sale on Sunday October 6th starting at 9AM. Come get a bargain on a fellow paddler’s boat or accessory! We already have folks committed to selling outside (we do ask that you hang out while your items are displayed so bring a chair and table if you need one as we believe this will be like a Paddle sports tag sale).
Last year’s inaugural Swap & Sale was a great success! This is a great way for many of us to get together with some friends and talk paddling. I do plan to have the new store grill cooking around lunch time both days and hope that you consider joining us! Last year, we also had other displays including the power squadron displaying and giving out all kinds of information and a Thule representative present to answer questions about their product line. We are looking into lining these up for you again.
Our Yearly Clearance event: In addition to marking down the boats (in addition to the everyday discount that we already offer) all accessories will have an additional 10% Many remaining Kayaks and Canoes will be priced to move at 10%, 20% and some may be as high as 40% off which is under our cost.
The Paddler’s Swap and Sale is only on Sunday the 6th as we have no way to secure displayed items overnight. Keep your fingers crossed for great weather!
Here’s how it will work: We have space in our lots to set up and anyone that would be interested in selling their used Boats and Paddling equipment can have one and set up in the morning at no fee, but you must be present the entire time that your items are displayed for sale. We are only accepting paddle sports items to be displayed. Please call (860) 274-6213 to reserve your free space for the event.
We need your help for this to work! So Please post this on a bunch of Paddling group web-sites, Facebook and emails to help spread the word, tell your friends to help promote the event to help make it really successful.
All we ask; If you do sell something that 10% of the sale returns to us to pay for future advertising the event, extra staff, etc. and costs to provide a safe environment to the visitors. Swapping items is encouraged! Let’s have some fun!
