Finally hooked up with a big bluefish tonight. Gave a good fight. I caught it off a black and purple redfin after it got dark. It measured to 31 inches long, and I'm guessing about 10 pounds in weight.

Nice gator!

A 31" blue this time of year vs the 36" blue I caught in early June would be about the same weight due to difference in girth.

Probably, they're probably feeding more this time of year.

Nice fish. If you don't have spiked wading boots, get yourself some strap on spikes. I like the original Stabilicers to fit over my lug boots and other shoes. Last time night fishing I hooked a striper and had to take off down a jetty in pitch black. My buddy tried to film, and all he got was a bobbing lamp and sparks flying as I went rock hopping.

Thanks everyone!

I just ate the fish for dinner. Even though it was pretty oily, it was pretty good.
