On the water by 830am. Started in Danbury Bay. Hit 10/15 FOW for about two hours and lost two keepers on a jig while swimming it. Tried Chatter Baits and Drop Shot and barely a sniff from a Rock Bass. We headed to deeper water. As we were passing through 30/40 FOW we spotted a large school of bait fish on the Hummingbird 798C with larger blips following. We dropped the drop shot in with Green Pumpkin 3", not sure what and picked up a 14 inch Smallie. Fished for another hour but quickly lost the school of bait fish. Headed towards Latins for another hour and nothing.
Candlewood was very tough this morning. Water temps started at 63 and hit 65 by noon. Water clarity was about 18 inches. _________________ Don't hold your farts in! They travel up your spine to your brain and thats where shitty ideas come from. |

I have been trying to decide if I want to make one more trip up there this year or not. I had a couple good Saturdays up there during this year but most were kind of tough. I even got skunked 2 trips this year. I guess it's time to get on to the hunting season and the range for some plinking. |
