Recently while fishing the North Ave bridge along the Pequonnock, schoolies up to 14" were chasing a school of bait. Wasn't sure what the bait was.

Shape was something like a tadpole or rain drop and size was 2 to 3 inches.

Goby's have that shape but,I've never seen them in schools.Only by themselves.Small bullheads maybe??? I've seen 1-2 inch ones in balls by the hundreds.I don't know what they could have been with that shape.

Just Googled "killies baitfish" and found a photo of a school of killies that looked very much like what I saw.
